Daehan New Pharm Reappoints CEO Park Myung-rae; Elects Lee Cheon-soo as New Vice President and Choi Sung-sook as Auditor Daehan New Pharm held its 20th regular shareholders' meeting at the Hyangnam Pharmaceutical Complex in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, on the 22nd andd a cash dividend of 50 won (10%). At the meeting, incumbent CEO Park Myung-rae was reappointed, while Lee Cheon-soo was elected as the new director (Vice President), and Choi Sung-sook was elected as the new auditor. Daehan New Pharm's annual sales for the previous year reached 37.823 billion KRW, marking an increase of 20.11% compared to the previous year. Operating profit increased by 8.54% to 2.566 billion KRW, while ordinary profit decreased by 8.35% to 1.986 billion KRW, and net profit decreased by 11.76% to 1.410 billion KRW. CEO Park Myung-rae stated, "Daehan New Pharm is actively pursuing company-wide activities to discover new value-added businesses, alongside implementing innovation programs aimed at cost reduction and quality improvement of existing products. We will strive to achieve management performance that meets the expectations of our shareholders."

Daehan New Pharm (CEO Park Myung-rae) held the induction ceremony for the 3rd cohort of new employees at the headquarters' main conference room on the 2nd. About 30 new employees began an intensive two-week training program. The training, held at the Korea Human Resources Development Institute in Giheung, Gyeonggi Province, covers basic pharmaceutical industry education including an introduction to the pharmaceutical environment and department-specific product academic sessions. After completing the first phase of the residential training on the 16th, the second phase of on-site training will follow in each respective department. In his congratulatory address, CEO Park emphasized, "The future of the company depends on the sound judgment and proactive actions of the new employees." He urged the new hires to fully dedicate themselves to the training with a strong spirit of challenge to achieve self-realization and become the leaders who will build a first-class company.

Daehan New Pharm successfully held a New Year's executive hiking event on the morning of the 17th. The hiking event covered the round trip course of Gwanaksan Mountain in Gwacheon. Despite heavy snowfall throughout the morning, all participants reached the summit without a singleout. Through this hiking event, Daehan New Pharm reaffirmed its commitment to achieving its 2004 goals and pledged to dedicate itself to building a new corporate culture through united teamwork.

Lee Cheon-soo Leads Sales and Marketing Efforts to Strengthen CompetitivenessDaehan New Pharm has newly appointed Lee Cheon-soo as Vice President effective the 15th. The new Vice President Lee Cheon-soo (53) graduated from Sungkyunkwan University College of Pharmacy and has previously held executive roles such as Executive Director of Development and Marketing at Daewoong Pharmaceutical, and at H Pharm, and was Executive Director of Development and Marketing at Kwangdong Pharmaceutical. Upon joining Daehan New Pharm, he will oversee sales and marketing. In his inauguration speech, Vice President Lee expressed, "I will do my best to leverage my 25 years of accumulated experience to enhance competitiveness at Daehan New Pharm, which is growing dynamically."
